Propane Wine Barrel Fire Pit / Table
These photos provide a great view of the inside of the barrel and the air mixer connections.
The propane systems thermocouple on the left must always be exposed. The glass used was chunky Clear Base Glass.

The portable wine barrel fire pit below was build by Steve. He sent us an email with his wine barrel dimensions specs along with high quality digital pictures. From there we were able to determine all that he needed to make the wine barrel into safe, cleaning burning FireGlass fire pit.
Below the valve box is cut and set into place along with a 18" false bottom and a 12" double stainless steel burner ring.
My first choice would not of been a plywood top. Since then Steve is having a 48" round aluminum top being fabricated. You could also use granite, steel, glass, etc..... Use your imagination!
The fire area was then completed with 45 lbs of FireGlass for a 2" fill. A wood table top is then added to hold the wine and glasses. And depending your budget and imagination you can use a granite top, glass top, aluminum or steel, etc...

The wine barrel below was build by one of our newer dealers in Texas.
There was a steel bowl installed using our propane system to burn our glass. They used Bronze Base Glass in the fire pit.
Steve Hinojos (S.B. County Sheriff) built two fire pits using propane. One of which was a Wine Barrel Fire Pit and the other one a more traditional one. We will explain as we move on. We supplied the know how and all of the parts to make his Wine Barrel Fire Pit a success! Great job Steve!
We also supplied Steve with the all of the propane parts to make his fire table work properly as well. It's when we got his pictures that we noticed the ROCKS! You can't burn ROCKS, they EXPLODE! This you can see in the Famous "How Not To Do It" page. Initially he had no problems but once they took on moisture, sure enough he was back for some safe and sound glass!
All in all, great job Steve!
The next fire pit is from Ivan Grace in New Zealand. We supplied the parts and imagination and he constructed one very nice fire table for his outdoor bar. We will explain as we move forward. Above is the wine barrel fire pit with out the granite top. Below Ivan installed the granite top.
The drink a bit differently in New Zealand than we do here.....
I think Ivan should make a top for his wife next, ya think? But then again it could be catchy here too!!!!

Another Wine Barrel Fire Pit with Cobalt Blue Base Glass. This was propane as well.
Typically you will burn at about 30,000 btu's. This will allow your 20 lb tank to last about 15 to 20 hours.
Now if you go TURBO! This is 100,000 btus. You want big fire? Here you go!
We don't do wimpy. That is for the competition, or if that is what they call themselves.
You want fire? You got it.Propane is not an issue, for us anyway.
