The basic protocol for using Crushed lava rock is as follows:
- It is both safe and ideal to use regular lava rock (1/2"- 3/4" size) as the majority of the cheap filler.
- Use our crushed lava (1/4" - 3/8" size)as a buffer between the regular lava rock and the burner.
- Using our crushed lava rock is ideal for FireGlass as it acts as a shield - keeping the FireGlass from falling in between the cracks of larger lava rock. As well as a bed / pan for your burner, if using natural gas.
- For Propane burners, please contact us for details. Ed@Noderustic.com
